About College Development Council (CDC) and Affiliation Section

      Karnatak University has vibrant College Development Council (CDC) established in the year 1983 with the assistance of the UGC. The CDC is headed by a full time Director appointed by the University Syndicate. The CDC plays a key role in the establishment and development of Constituent and affiliated Colleges of the University and functions under the joint guidance of the University authorities and University Grants Commission (UGC). It provides link between the UGC, University and Colleges. It looks after the development of as many as 262 Colleges coming under the purview of CDC.

     The CDC believes that the improvement takes place by improving the people and the processes. Therefore, it takes all steps to improve the working environment of the institutions in the light of changing requirements of the society. It also knows that there is no end to the quality improvement activities. With these ideas in mind, it has made enough progress in the achievement of quality, giving due respect to quantity also. The CDC takes all such steps that may fit-in for the promotion, co-ordination and raising the standards of higher education in the colleges. One of the main functions of this section is to provide and continue affiliation to the eligible colleges in the jurisdiction of KUD.
